Retention drives fall enrollment of 30,772

Iowa State University's fall enrollment reflects its commitment to helping students earn their degree, with a one-year retention rate of 88.3% and record-high two-year retention of 82.9%. Iowa State's total enrollment of 30,772 includes a first-year class of 5,872 students.
Eight teaching-based projects selected for Miller fellowships

Eight faculty projects received funds in the university's Miller Faculty Fellowship program for the 2026-27 academic year. These innovative teaching-based research projects, which will impact student-centric instruction, are supported with a total of $243,075 in grants.
University earns 10-year accreditation renewal

The two-year effort included more than 50 people, 300 pieces of evidence, 7,000 course syllabi and a 35,000-word assurance argument. A review team from the Higher Learning Commission also visited campus.
