Confirm the program review schedule for the next two academic years with the Office of the Senior Vice President and Provost, who will then schedule meetings with the associate dean for academics in each college.
Department/college begins preparation and writing of self-study (allow 4-6 months)
College forwards names and brief professional profile (100-200 words) of potential external reviewers to the Office of the Senior Vice President and Provost's Director of Academic Quality and Undergraduate Education (DAQUE). DAQUE reviews/approves and communicates back to the college.
Schedule date and time of Office of the Senior Vice President and Provost entrance and exit meetings:
Entrance meeting (30 minutes): Associate Provost for Academic Programs and Director of Academic Quality and Undergraduate Education
Exit meeting (30 minutes): Senior Vice President and Provost; Associate Provost for Academic Programs; Associate Provost for Faculty; Dean of the Graduate College (if a graduate academic program is part of the review); and Director of Academic Quality and Undergraduate Education
Submit an electronic copy and one hard copy of the self-study to the administrative assistant for the Associate Provost for Academic Programs.
Submit a one-page executive summary which gives a high-level overview of the self-study findings.
Submit review questions/guidance provided from the dean to the external review team (if this was provided to the reviewers).
Submit an external review committee roster (name, title, institution, brief professional profile).
Submit a complete itinerary of the visit.
Forward copy of external review team report to Director of Academic Quality and Undergraduate Education.
Department chair meets with department faculty to discuss external review team report.
Schedule follow-up meeting (1 hour): Dean, Associate Dean; Chair; Associate Provost for Academic Programs; and Director of Academic Quality and Undergraduate Education.
